The Skateboarding Uniforms Didn’t Inspire Much Enthusiasm
Nike was charged to design and craft the uniforms from the U.S skateboarders, and let’s be honest about it – their work generated a moderate emotional response from people in the skateboarding culture, as well as common sports aficionados. To be fair, the job was challenging, as skate fashion is loose and free and not at all about matching colors and styles, which is in direct opposition to competitive uniforms.
Nike Made Amends With The French Women’s Skateboarding Team
In contrast to their American counterparts, the French got a sublime uniform from Nike. The boiler suit is designed to be stylish, polished, and easy while the rooster on the left side adds a subtle finishing touch. It is simply said – cool and eye-catching. Many fashionistas and experts described it as the cloth embodiment of the skateboarding culture. The big caveat here is that only the women’s team will be wearing this astounding sports apparel. The men, on the other hand, just like their American colleagues, will have to do with a tepid uniform that will certainly not be remembered.
Not all team uniforms are the same and while fashion is secondary to sporting achievements during major competitive events, it’s still something that leaves a lasting impact on both rivaling teams and spectators. And while we aren’t telling you to root for France, you should definitely take the time to check out their women’s skateboarding team apparel.
